Review of the Asus VivoBook S14 smart laptop for the average user

Asus VivoBook S14 design

There isn’t much to say about the design of the VivoBook S14. Outwardly, it looks like any other ASUS laptop and does not stand out from the crowd of competitors. The body is mostly plastic, but the lid and palm rest have been given a polished metal finish, making the device look more solid.

One of the most interesting things about this laptop is ASUS’ new hinge design that lifts the device slightly when opened. The Ergo Lift design raises the laptop body 3.5° from the surface, which allows the cooling system to work more efficiently and provides a comfortable typing experience.

The Asus VivoBook S14 is quite portable, weighing just 1.4kg and 18mm thick, so it can easily fit into any bag and be carried anywhere. The display bezels are thin, and luckily the webcam is right where it should be, at the top. Light and thin body, will be in demand by many people who are looking for a practical laptop for work.

Overall, the device looks good, but the rounded, silvery keyboard keys feel a little cheap compared to competitive devices. If anything, the previous VivoBook S14 featured a more practical design. However, I like the rugged chassis of this laptop.
